----- FLY SWAP 2003 ----
----Streamers ----
-A chance to exchange your favourite streamer patterns
with 12 fellow tiers-
Streamers usually
account for the biggest fish caught in any season. The dry flies get all the
publicity but a well tied Black Nose Dace or Bow River Bugger usually gets the
big fish. There are hundreds of streamers from Clouser Minnows to Muddler
Minnows so tie 14 of your favourites and exchange them with club members
Rules and Regulations
This swap is
limited to the first 12 tiers to sign up. Please tie up 14 flies and we
will auction off the last two sets and donate the money to our conservation
efforts. Because of the popularity of our swaps in the last three years and the
number of active tiers at the club I suspect that the ranks of will quickly
fill. If you are not in the first 12, I
will add your name to a list of replacement tiers. Bring the registration to me at the meeting,
send it in the mail (address below) or send it by fax at (905) 521- 6014.
Bring in your
flies in a RETURNABLE container for the Secret Fly meeting on May 12, 2003. I
will be returning your new set of streamers flies in your own container.
Print up a list
of tying instructions and fishing tips for your fly pattern. I will post the
instructions and pictures of the flies onto the club web site.
If you have questions email Bruce Wainman or call (905) 319 8928.
There you go . .
